What is it about?
The kitchen is the heart of the home - it's where people live, laugh, argue and celebrate. Orea designs rooms that convey precisely this feeling. Using real, sustainable materials and harmonious colours, we create places that not only work, but also touch. Orea thinks beyond kitchens: living room, dressing room, bathroom - every room tells a story. Whether marble that has matured for millions of years, oak that has grown for decades or steel that has become a sculpture. Orea and Morath jointly realised the modular cooking island Orea T.
What exactly was the assignment?
The Orea T redefines the cooking island: mobile, modular, free. Movable along its entire length, it transforms the work surface into a three-dimensional system.
Orea T accommodates a sink, hob, worktop, gastro containers, cover, dishwasher, etc. Morath equips the cooking island with precisely manufactured, stylish stainless steel elements that support the clear, modern design language of Orea T.
What was the particular challenge?
The stainless steel components with different material thicknesses had to be perfectly processed and harmonised with the modular system - technically precise, visually harmonious and finished to the highest standard.
What was the result?
Orea T is a flexible, award-winning kitchen system with a high-quality stainless steel finish. A movable all-in-one cooking island that adapts to individual spaces, situations and workflows and combines modern aesthetics with function. The product has won several design awards, including the German Design Award.
How did the cooperation go?
The collaboration between Orea and Morath was based on partnership, solution-orientated and characterised by a mutual understanding of design, function and detail.
